Try to remember this as you fall to sleep some night.
You're trying to fall asleep and you keep asking yourself, " Why am I here?". Realize that this is an invalid question. "Why?" doesn't matter, even if the answer to the question could be known.
"How?" is a better question.
"How?" always brings the us the answer to the question, "Why?". "Why?" simply is "Because", and that's good enough.
If you're asking yourself "How?" with the universe in mind.
"How?" also becomes useless information.
How the universe came into existence, or how we came to exist in this universe, is unneeded knowledge in the course of Earthly events.
This may all seem very depressing until you remember that it really doesn't matter if we are here at all. Just be glad that you do exist in the multiverse, and that your corner of the universe is going through a stable epoch.
"To every child--a new universe is born".
"How?" always brings the us the answer to the question, "Why?".
It might just be me, but the question seems to be more a matter of "the us the" than anything else.
