Something bad may happen today.
Here's the 3 reasons why I believe this.
01. Early this afternoon flocks of birds came flying out of the forest with no predator giving chase.
02. No less than 25 hawks circling the Windham Correctional Center (a prison).
03. I had to pull over when the rain became a waterfall, just in time for the hail storm to begin.
The thunder still continues above my head and the low/black clouds are moving very fast around my neighborhood.
On a different note: there are far more trees changing than I noticed a couple days ago. From Westbrook to at least Raymond it seems that every other tenth of a mile or so has at least one tree with yellow and/or red leaves.
Last week a 90 year old woman gave me directions to her house and told me it was past "the reformatory." Took me almost an hour to figure out she meant the prison.
Somehow hawks circling a reformatory doesn't sound quite so much like a portent of doom.
