It saddens me to learn that you've put the Barack Obama Countdown Application on your profile.
It saddens me that he got elected and will then furthermore be going into office with more scandals than anyone in American history.
But really, why are you "sad" about my beliefs? I am happy with them, as I am sure you are with yours.
Your beliefs are yours and I do honor them, no matter how shortsighted they may seem to me.
With that said, I find it disturbing that so many Americans (not the majority of course) find it necessary to publicly show themselves as utterly unpatriotic by not standing behind the current (20 more days) democratically elected President.
Doesn't sound like you are honoring anything that I believe. Instead, you are picking a fight about it.
I have heard constant Bush bashing for the last 8 years, so I assume that you too think those Americans are also unpatriotic because of that? President George W. Bush will go down as the most disrespected president.
And you, a liberal, are allegedly "tolerant". Tolerant, so long as it is a liberal POV.
Listen, a fight was not my intention, but it seems to be yours.
The crux of my point is this, when G.W. was awaiting to start his new job as President there were no countdowns to his final day in office. The "liberal" American public didn't hate him right out of the gate. He earned that disrespect with the decisions he made. Obama "was" elected and deserves the right to make his own mistakes. Until he errs, it is our civic duty to give him the support he deserves as the leader of the free world.
Furthermore, as a "Christian" doesn't one of your codes of conduct suggest that one should not judge or you may be judged? Hating someone before he gives a good reason to just doesn't seem very nice to me and it makes me sad.
I will pray for you, Scott.
I appreciate the gesture, but I don't believe in an omniscient, omnipotent sky fairy. :)

Absolutely Brilliant
